Crossrail is one of the most important transport projects being planned in the UK today. A vital transport link connecting Heathrow and the Thames Valley in the West with the Thames Gateway in the East, Crossrail will deliver direct access to central London, relieving congestion on the existing network and providing quicker and easier journeys through and into the major commercial core of the capital.

Camargue established the project’s communications strategy and delivery programme and worked with the Crossrail team from 2001-7 (Crossrail is currently being reviewed by Select Committee in Parliament and moving towards Royal Assent, which is expected expected during 2007).

Camargue worked with Network Rail and the Strategic Rail Authority to support this major rail infrastructure proposal through a two-stage Public Inquiry. The proposal is approved but awaiting a decision on funding from the Treasury.

DP World is one of the largest marine terminal operators in the world. It acquired P&O in March 2006 and, with it, the development plans for London Gateway, a major new port and business/logistics park on the River Thames at Thurrock, Essex.

Camargue is providing DP World with a communications strategy to support the successful development of London Gateway, focusing on assisting the project through the planning process and developing effective relationships with stakeholders at local, regional and national levels.
