There is an imperative to deliver effective transport and infrastructure solutions within the UK. Few things have so much impact on the population in terms of employment mobility, quality of life and business efficiency. But major infrastructure proposals face many challenges; Public Inquiries, the parliamentary system and funding, to name just a few. There is a growing consensus that the national system for dealing with proposals fails to meet the urgency of need. Even when the necessary approvals are obtained, government sign-off and funding remains considerable final hurdle.

Given the diversity and complexity of issues which can arise, it is vital that the communications are clear, structured and sensitively handled. Target audiences must be properly informed and support galvanised at all levels.
