Housing Market Renewal – A parliamentary briefing with the Rt Hon Jack Straw MP

Camargue recently delivered a parliamentary briefing on behalf of the UK’s twelve Housing Market Renewal (HMR) pathfinders. Hosted by the Rt Hon Jack Straw MP, Leader of the House of Commons, the event was well attended by MPs including Yvette Cooper, Minister of State (Housing and Planning), Frank Field MP, Angela Eagle MP and the Rt Hon Hazel Blears MP, as well as councillors from the pathfinder areas and local tenants who had benefitted from the scheme.

Prior to the government’s Comprehensive Spending Review in June 2007, the event aimed to demonstrate the current achievements of the national pathfinder programme and help lobby central government for long-term commitment to the initiative. Working to tight timescales, Camargue delivered a complete event management brief, incorporating the recruitment of MPs, speaker management and the copywriting, design and production of all event and exhibition material.
