“Camargue express a real enthusiasm for the project, which is a breath of fresh air on a complicated and demanding project. The team has a very good understanding of energy issues and in particular renewable energy. The team working on the SPEN Mid Wales project has provided the services as commissioned, to cost and have added value in terms of new ideas and solutions to emerging problems.”

Public engagement
There is no doubt that new ways of producing energy need to be found in the UK, but it raises complex questions that need to be understood before a complete solution is made.
ScottishPower Energy Networks builds, maintains and repairs the electrical equipment and network that transports electricity to around 3.5 million homes and businesses in the UK and is investing into energy generation of the future. However, with energy infrastructure comes worry and concern from surrounding communities and stakeholders.
Camargue’s role is to engage with these communities to help them better understand the complex projects and, most importantly, show them how they can engage with the planning process and get their voices heard through open dialogue, public consultations, exhibitions and stakeholder engagement activities.
IPC applications have stringent guidelines, with many applications ending up in public enquiry. For this reason, best practice and accountability is integral to all consultation activities.
