Horizon Nuclear Power
Working towards new nuclear
The UK needs significant investment over the course of the next decade to meet growing demands for energy.
New nuclear power is a critical way to meet these needs and Horizon Nuclear Power – a 50:50 joint venue between E.ON and RWE npower – plans to build and operate around 6,000 MW of new nuclear power station capacity in the UK by 2025.
Since 2008, Camargue has supported Horizon Nuclear Power in three main areas: establishing a communications function, supporting the launch of the brand within the UK and providing planning advocacy for a proposed new nuclear power station at Wylfa on Anglesey.
Our work has included supporting Wylfa’s inclusion in Nuclear National Policy Statements, issues management and ongoing engagement with local communities and stakeholders across North Wales.
