Supporting new business development and staff recruitment

A FTSE 250 company, Atkins is one of the world’s largest multinational engineering
and design consultancies. However, a few years ago its market profile did not match the size of the business, the expertise of its people nor the scale of its ambition.

It was simply not punching its weight in terms of stakeholder management and market influence. This had implications for top line growth and staff recruitment. Camargue developed a programme of communications designed to connect the business with its stakeholders - from customers through to staff – and promote its technical expertise, project delivery and, importantly, its people.

The main focus was on developing relationships with key journalists and maximising opportunities in trade media in potential growth markets. We also provided a range of marketing communications services including presentation support for contract bids; creative guidance on advertising and messaging; internal communications; and event management for industry and staff conferences.

Camargue allowed Atkins to engage more powerfully and consistently with the outside world marking the start of more proactive media relations activity for the business.
